GARY SCHEIDT, AKCM, USN (RET)

Gary currently lives in Stone Mountain. Georgia where he has for the past 39 years following his retirement from the US Navy in 1978, after serving 23 years of regular Navy active duty. 

Gary has a BS degree, and completed his MBA studies from the University of West Florida, where he graduated with honors. He is currently a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, UWF Chapter, Pensacola, Florida. 

He has been an initial member of two very successful computer software companies --- Digial Systems of Florida --- 1979 to 1983, Financial Software Systems --- 1983 to 1987, and co-owner of, again a very successful residential development company --- RED HAWK --- 1992 to 2004.  And, he has also been part owner of wastewater Deposal Company, and owner of a very large 200 machine vending company.

Gary has also served in Vice President positions with two very large Telecom companies. Northern Telecom --- 1987 to 1994, retired, and with WorldCom --- 1977 to 2003.

Gary is a member of the local branch of the Fleet Reserve Association. And has served as vice president and president of the Association for three terms.  A member of the American Legion and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars; having served on active duty during Vietnam.  He is also a Free Mason and a 32-degree Scottish Rite and wears a 50 year membership pin for both groups.

Gary is presently serving as Treasurer of the Florida Chief Petty Officer Association (FLCPOA) and is a life member of the National Chief Petty Officer Association, as well as a life member of the USS Lake Champlain CVS 39 Association, and the USS Jupiter AVS-8 Association. 

Gary and his wife Linda were married for 60 years. Linda passed away in July 2017 following a long two months of suffering with brain cancer.  They have 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

Gary is presently retired having sold his company Confident Marketing Solutions LLC in August 2016. A marketing company that conducted WEB site franchise advertising, and lead generation.
